We are nearly there!
Layton Juniors is about to sign a 25 year lease for the building and pitches at kingscote. Carole Webster our Development officer is busy applying for funding from various sourses, it will be maybe a year before money comes through for the pitches to be drained, re-levelled and re seeded, howeverwith the building work can start as soon as we sign the lease.
One of the criteria for us obtaining the lease is we are to make the club a limited company, this in process.
We are taking on the lease with BLACKPOOL STANLEY RUGBY LEAGUE for there junior rugby, this way we can have match funding from both sports.
PITCH LAYOUT
We have agreed with the council to have two full size pitches going the other way to what they are now, and the rugby pitch will go across them (the way the pitch is now). There will also be a 7 aside pitch at the other end (where those small goals are now) this will double up as a training pitch rather than over use the pitches in bad weather.
The goal post will be taken away after every match and railings will be attached to the back of the building, so we can chain them up.
PRIORTY
1 TO SECURE THE ROOF (POSSIBLY A NEW ONE)
2 TO BUILD THE BACK OF THE BUILDING UP IN BLOCK RATHER THAN WOOD.
3 TO HAVE THE ELECTRICS LOOKED AT TO MAKE SURE THEY ARE SAFE, ALSO TO INSTALLED FIRE ALARMS AND BURGLAR ALARMS.
4 NEW CENTRAL HEATING SYSTEM PIPE WORK TO BE INSPECTED FOR LEAD.
5 INSURANCE WE MUST OBTAIN BUILDINGS, CONTENTS AND PUBLIC LIABILITY INSURANCE.
ALL OF THE ABOVE HAVE TO BE DONE BEFORE WE CAN THINK ABOUT WHERE ROOMS WILL GO ETC.

PARENTS THIS IS WHERE YOU COME IN IF YOU ARE OR IF YOU KNOW ANY OF THE FOLLOWING TRADES PEOPLE, THAT MAY GIVE UP SOME OF THERE TIME TO HELP GET THAT BUILDING UP TO STANDARD PLEASE CONTACT US, NO MONEY WILL BE FORTHCOMING FROM THE COUNCIL, THE LOCAL COUNCILLORS WILL BE GIVING US SOMETHING FOR THE BUILDING WE AS A CLUB WILL PUT TO THE BUILDING FUND AS WELL AS THE RUGBY CLUB, here is a list of trades people (they do have to have there OWN PLI)
